Grading student works is a tedious and exhausting task for all teachers. Someone may say nowadays student works can be in digital form but nearly all schools keep using paper and pen for test and exam. In Asia, teachers need to spend at least 3-4 hours to grade student assignment every day and there is no effective way to handle the grading work. Also, due to the manpower limitation, it is impossible to record down the details mark and answer to each question for further analysis.
In November 2020, Amazon Textract announced the support of recognizing handwriting, and we start to design and develop a solution to adopt AWS AI and machine learning services to grade handwriting test and exam. Amazon Textract Grader is a serverless AWS AI/ML application to grade handwriting student works automatically and produce detailed breakdown record for further analysis or processing.
This solution is not only useful for school, and it can be used to process survey, application form or stack of form like documents.
